Live Irish Folk Music

After having this incredible pair perform for us in May, we realised we had just experienced one of the best nights of our lives! It certainly didn't take long before we were asking them to please come back!

Paul & Glen Elliott come fully equipped with their vocals, guitar, violin, bodhrans & loads of personality! Expect this to be a fun & entertaining evening, with a great mix of traditional Irish music, blues, folk & country. Doors open at 5pm & the music starts at 6pm.

Entry is FREE but if you want to reserve a table it's always a good idea to book in advance or arrive any time between 5pm-6pm to be guaranteed a seat. Drinks & light snacks available from the bar.

Cheese Tasting Event

wed 07 Sept / 7.15pm - 9.30pm

The Oxford Cheese Company (located in the covered market) has been at the heart of Oxford since 1983. Cheese mongers for nearly 40 years, Baron Pouget & his wife Lou are full of enthusiasm & interesting stories about their life long journey with cheese! You won't just be tasting x6 delicious cheeses but you will also be entertained by a man full of exponential character, who now produces his very own "Oxford Blue" (winning gold medal at the British cheese awards) as well as supplying more than 300 cheeses to universities, colleges & restaurants around Oxford & nationwide. Come along & hear his story, its fascinating!!!

Entry is £20 which includes all cheese tastings. Drinks can be purchased from the bar at the normal prices.

Paul Acreman - LIVE

We are proud to present local talent Paul Acreman, a fine solo guitarist with a great voice. He loves to entertain a crowd with modern covers & old traditional songs to sing along to. I can't really think of a better way to spend a Saturday night. This is going to be fun so bring your dancing shoes too!

Red Shoes - LIVE

Soaring, passionate vocals, chiming acoustic guitars & a superb catalogue of original songs, Red Shoes is Birmingham's premier folk rock act & they're coming to Whistlers! Husband (Mark) & wife (Carolyn) first formed Red Shoes in 1983... a long & successful music career having produced x2 singles and x3 albums of their own. As well as sharing stages with The Strawbs, Fotheringay, Iain Matthews, Pentangle, Show of Hands, Steve Knightly, Richard Digance & Paul Young!

Recently rejoined by Derek their original bass player, the 3 of them now perform as a guitar based trio.
